Christine is a Cum Laude graduate of Monmouth College in New Jersey, and received a degree in Interior Design from Harrington Institute in Chicago. Most recently, Christine was the Interior Design Manager at Bloomingdale’s in Chicago and was instrumental in developing the studio into a high level design source. While she was with Marshall Field’s (now Macy’s), Christine was recognized for her Trend House Presentation, designed in an Oriental Motif that incorporated the talents of craftsman throughout the Chicago area. This display ultimately became a tourist attraction for visitors from all over the world.

Working with color, texture in fabrics, window treatments, custom rugs and distincitve accessories has allowed Christine Richards to create great design that monograms her work. With over 25 years of experience in both residential and commercial design, Christine has worked with clientele throughout Chicagoland and the North Shore.

Christine has won acclaim for her decorating segments on the Oprah Show and has helped in developing program seminars for Mayor Daley’s Model Cities programs. She was also highly acknowledged by the Chicago Antique Market for her Design Vignette.

The field of interior design for Christine has broadened into many facets. She has had her own cable television program and has been a regular the ABC Morning Show, “Kennedy and Company.” She answered questions about design challenges and provided solutions that incorporated furniture placement, space planning fabric selection, lighting, flooring and accessorizing. In addition, Christine has presented many interior design seminars and was design consultant to the national franchise company, “Decoration Den” where she trained associates in all aspects of interior design, customer relations and product knowledge.
